If you are
interested in becoming a Free and Accepted Mason, read on and
look at the requirements. The best and fastest way to
join our Fraternity is to ask any Free Mason about Masonry.
Becoming a mason is most likely easier then you would
expect. |
|
Basic Requirements |
- Being
a man at least 21 years old. Of sound body and mind,
and has a good reputation. (Incidentally, the
"sound in body" requirement -- which comes
from the stonemasons of the Middle Ages -- doesn't
mean that a physically challenged man cannot be a
Mason; many are)
- Having
a belief in a Supreme Being. (No particular religion
or faith is required or excluded. All are welcome.)
- You
must be able to afford the initiation fees and the
annual dues without causing hardship to yourself or
your family.
- You
should be entering Masonry of your own free will and
accord.

Important Personal
Considerations |
- You
should be someone eager to join a Fraternity
consisting of men from different; backgrounds,
faiths, races, countries. Masonry is universal in
its ideals.
- If
you are a family man, Masonry considers that your
family obligations come FIRST, so you must be
sure that:
- You
have the time to participate (usually two evenings
per month, - often more if you get involved in
lodge activities.)
- By
coming to Masonry of your own free will and accord,
you should be willing to learn to improve yourself
and to enjoy the companionship of other good people,
not because of selfish motives. You should believe
in helping others. Masons believe there is more to
life than pleasure and money and we are
willing to respect the opinions of others. Also, you
should want to grow and develop as a human being.
